Are teachers busy?

How do you think that “Are teachers busy?”

Teachers are close workers for us, but we don’t know so much…
I’ll show you teacher’s real in Japan.

Most teachers may death from overwork…?

The news were many teachers may death from overwork.
80% of junior high school teacher work extra 80 hours per months.
Generally, people have risk of death from overwork when you worked overtime for 80 hours per month.
Why are teachers too busy?
teacher’s tasks are so much
That teaching in classroom, prepare the lessons, make a exam, mark the exam, write documents, processing questionnaires, planning events…

Teachers have so many tasks, but they usually begin the works out of working hours.
Why?
Because they have to coach club activities. Despite it is out of duties.
After that they start doing these tasks.

Even if student wants to talk his teacher about some troubles, teacher don’t have time to do so.

This is real situations in Japan.
How happy are they?!

How much teachers are paid overtime payment?

After you know the fact, you may think “Japanese teachers can get so many extra salaries.”
This is not true.
They usually work even at night on weekday, but they don’t get extra payments.
Surprisingly, Many teachers have to go school even holidays, because they are assigned as coach of club activities. On holiday’s payment is not expensive. If they coach less than 4hours, they don’t get extra payment. If they coach over 4 hours, they get only 3600 yen (about 32 USD).
This is illegal for genaral company, but public teacher are out of the law. On the contrary, the law “Kyutokuhou” are don’t allow teacher’s overwork.
“Kyutokuhou” says teachers are paid extra 4% salaries, but they aren’t allowed any overwork. But they have so many tasks, so they are forced to work voluntarily.

“If you don’t like overtime work, you should quit a teacher”

Recently, it often shows up the news “teacher’s overtime work problem”. Then I find this comment “If you don’t like overtime work, you should quit a teacher”.

If this teacher quits the job, his burden moves to another person.
In my opinion, the system have to change, and this teacher shouldn’t be blame.

Students are unhappy from tired teachers environment. Most teachers have no afford, can students rely them?

It’s decrease teacher’s burdens, it’s increase time with students, then it starts “education”.

    https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E9%81%8E%E5%8A%B4%E6%AD%BB%E3%83%A9%E3%82%A4%E3%83%B3
